Summer School 2026
A 7-day intensive program in East Lansing, Michigan exploring the future of autonomous AI.
Applications for the Conscious Learning Summer School 2026 are reviewed on a rolling basis. While there is no fixed deadline, we strongly encourage international applicants to apply by May 5, 2026 (AoE) to ensure sufficient time for visa processing. US-based applicants are encouraged to submit by June 5, 2026. Please note that we may close applications early once our intensive review capacity is reached.
Notification Deadline
Decisions on acceptance and scholarship status are made on a rolling basis. Applicants can typically expect a notification within two weeks of submitting their completed application. We prioritize early reviews for international applicants to ensure ample time for travel and visa arrangements.
Learning Experience
Led by Juyang (John) Weng and a team of pioneers in autonomous development, we provide an introduction to a transition from “Open-Skull” AI to Conscious Learning.

Selection Process
Submit Application
Complete the online form with your background, motivation, and goals. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Committee Review
Our team evaluates academic or professional background, geographic diversity, and genuine interest in Conscious Learning.
Acceptance & Offer
Accepted participants receive an official offer letter along with scholarship decisions if applicable.
Confirm & Register
Confirm your place by paying the registration fee. Visa invitation letters are issued immediately after confirmation.
Scholarships & Sponsorships
BMI Scholarships
Reserved primarily for high school and undergraduate students from under-resourced communities who demonstrate exceptional promise and a drive to pioneer the future of AI. Successful applicants will be invited to submit a formal scholarship application upon acceptance to the program.
Corporate Sponsorship
Organizations can partner with CLSS 2026 through Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze tiers ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 and gain visibility among the next generation of AI researchers.

Invitation Letters for Visa
The Brain-Mind Institute will issue formal invitation letters for visa applications only after an applicant has been officially accepted and the registration fee has been paid in full. We strongly recommend applying as early as possible to allow adequate time for international travel arrangements and embassy processing.
